I write and collaborate on the psychological, cultural and political consequences of technological change. My work explores how AI, digital systems and contemporary institutions are reshaping attention, identity, relationships and public life.
I work across formats — from commissioned essays, documentaries and long-form interviews to festivals, public programmes and interdisciplinary projects. The aim is to bring psychological depth and historical perspective to questions often treated as either purely technical or purely personal.
I welcome collaborations with publishers, media organisations, museums, galleries, universities, think tanks, charities and public institutions developing ambitious cultural or public-facing work.

The Algorithmic State
The Algorithmic State (forthcoming) explores why anxiety, burnout, loneliness and social fragmentation are becoming structural features of modern life. Drawing on psychology, neuroscience, political economy and technology, it traces how power has moved inward — from institutions and markets into attention, identity and ultimately the nervous system itself. In environments built for optimisation, prediction and continuous engagement, what feels personal is increasingly shaped by design. Rather than asking how individuals can cope better, the book asks a more fundamental question: what kind of society would allow people to finally stand down?
Fiction
Borderless
Borderless (2027) is a literary novel about the seduction of reinvention. When Charlotte Hughes leaves London for India, she imagines she can escape the borders that have shaped her life — of nation, class, ambition and identity. Instead, she discovers that every crossing creates new boundaries, and every search for freedom carries its own forms of exile.
